If you purchased a home you will own and occupy as your primary residence, you can apply to qualify for Homestead Exemption.
The maximum Homestead Exemption value is $75,000 on your property assessment or $7,500 of your assessed value. You must have a signed application on file with our office for it to apply and you can do this online by clicking the Homestead App. Homestead Exemption is not automatically granted upon purchase. Once granted, it is permanent as long as you own and reside at that location.
